The CPL(A) license entitles the holder to work as a Pilot in Command (PIC) on a single-pilot aircraft engaged in commercial air transport under Visual Flight Rules (VFR).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • PPL License 
  • 18 years of age 
  • Night Rating
  • 150 flight hours experience of which 100 as PIC 
  • Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • English Language Proficency (minimum level 4)

Theoretical Knowledge

200 hours of distance learning instruction of the following subjects:

  • Air Law
  • Aircraft general knowledge
  • Flight performance and planning
  • Human performance and limitations
  • Meteorology
  • Operational procedures
  • Navigation
  • Principles of Flight
  • VFR Communications

Practical Training

25 hours (minimum) of flight training which comprises:

  • 15 hours dual VFR on a Single Engine Airplane (minimum 5 hours with a Complex Plane)
  • 5 hours dual IFR witch a Single Engine Airplane
  • 5 hours with a FNPT II

Credits

with these credits (recommended) it is possible to reduce the hours of practical training:

  • IR holders may have their training reduced to 15 hours total
