The Private Pilot License (PPL) is the first step to start flying.
The courses to obtain the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and the Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) allow you to fly for NON remunerative purposes in Italy and, with adequate extension to English language (minimum level 4) , also abroad.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- The minimum age for license is 17 years old, however you may start training at the age of 16.
- Class 2 medical certificate issued by an Aeromedical Examiner.
Theoretical Knowledge
120 hours of classroom or distance learning instruction of the following subjects:
- Air Law
- Aircraft General Knowledge
- Aircraft performance
- Human Performance and Medicine
- Meteorology
- Navigation
- Operational Procedures
- Communciations (Italian and/or English)
- Principles of Flight
Practical Training
45 hours (minimum) of flight training which comprises:
- 35 hours with the instructor
- 10 as a Solo Pilot with the instructor supervising you from the ground
